Gestapelde containers voor Joshua Tree Residence

Het is nu nog een concept, maar volgend jaar gaat deze ‘woestijnroos’ ook daadwerkelijk worden gebouwd. De Joshua Tree Residence van Whitaker Studio. Een half kunstwerk gemaakt van containers.

Op een stuk grond van 26 hectares komt het huis te staan van 200 vierkante meter, binnenkort eigendom van een of andere Hollywood-producer. Het huis gaat dus uit containers bestaan die elk zo worden geplaatst voor een perfect uitzicht en voorzien van goed natuurlijk licht. Met ook de benodigde privacy waar nodig.

De witte kleur blijft om zoveel mogelijk zonlicht te reflecteren en om het huis niet als een sauna te laten aanvoelen. Een nabije garage die volhangt met zonnepanelen zorgt dan weer voor energie.
